burgundyblog: I discovered a cool, free, and shockingly easy trick for setting up ultra-quick access to BurgundyBlog.com (or any other website, really) on your iPhone home screen. It basically turns the blog into an app. Open Safari on your iPhone. Go to BurgundyBlog.com. Tap the little button at the bottom of the browser that looks like a rectangle with an arrow coming out of it. Select “Add to Home Screen.” Give it an abbreviated title, like “Burg/Blog” or “BB.com,” so it will look nicer. Hit “Add.” Amazingly, that’s it. The icon is now on your phone. It takes you straight to the blog so you can check for new posts, in all of about three seconds. The display is optimized for mobile viewing. Plus, my icon is sexy. I confidently endorse this strategy for any loyal reader with an iPhone. I was not aware of this. I shall call them MIRACLE APPS.
